Earning painting badges! {North Attleboro Family Photography}

February 8, 2012

Last month Matt form Preservation Framer asked me to come in and photograph a local Girl Scout troop that is working on their painting badge. How can I say no? The girls came in and learned about painting from local artist Christina Beecher. She did an amazing job keeping her attention and they learned so much. Thank you Matt for inviting me, and Christina your work is amazing.

Brand New! {Norton Newborn Photographer}

January 30, 2012

I got an email from a very good childhood friend. Her best friend just had a baby and wanted to book a session for her! Of course I had to say yes!!! I got there and little Ford wanted nothing to do with me… But they don’t call me the baby whisperer for nothing! I had a great session today. He let us do so much once he was in a deep sleep. We kept him covered due to a very sore belly button. Poor little man. Thank you Jess for choosing me for your friends images!

Isn’t the blue blanket in the next set cute? He came home from the hospital in it. Just like his daddy did when his daddy was a newborn :)

Enjoy your BIG sneak peek!!!!

In December I got together with mom for a maternity session (dad was at work, boo) Today she said she was glad we did the maternity session so we can see the “before and after”.. Well here you go Amy!

I really enjoyed myself today! He was such a doll, and posed so well for me. Enjoy your sneak peek.

As 2011 comes to an end…… {New England/Boston Family Photographer}

December 30, 2011

Wow, I can not believe 2011 is almost over. This year brought BIG changes for my family and my business. The last 2 years in FL my business was doing amazing! I could not be happier; but deep down as a family we were not happy. We were living so far away from almost all of our family. That’s when we made the decision that in June we would make the move from Tampa back to Massachusetts! It has not been easy getting my name back out there, but we are working so hard.

Another thing 2011 brought was alot of soul searching with my image as a photographer. I was not happy doing the same old thing every session. I really dug deep and went out of my comfort zone and just went with it. That was one of the best choices I ever made! Please enjoy the rest of this blog post. It is every session I did in 2011 (almost). There are over 45 sessions and please note a couple images are boudoir. With that said, come check out my 2011 in images!!!

First session of the year! This little guy is a son of a friend in FL. This session was her baby shower gift :) Oh little C, I can not believe how big you are now!

This next session is a repeat client. I photographed their first born at 3 months old! He was so fun. I got an email from mom saying she was due and wanted to book the little one’s 3 month photos to match her older son’s images. Well I had to offer her a free mini maternity session! How could I pass up  photographing her pregnant! We went to Ybor City and just walked around! Lots of fun.

When we were talking I was telling her about my new change in how I wanted to shoot as an artist. As we were talking, I told her I really wanted to start shooting in homes more. She booked me for a mini session in her son’s room with his cousin :) Man I had fun!

I brought my camera with me when dropping her orders off from both of the sessions above. Her new little man was about 1-2 weeks here! She left me in the room and let me do some fast couple of fun images!

With this next session I put out a call for natural moms; where out in a field they would feel at home. This mom answered my ad, can you believe she was 39 weeks? I just had to snap a few of her son, too!

As the days and weeks went by in 2011 I really started to think about fun session themes. I always wanted to do a super hero session, so I finally did it! I put out yet another “call” for a little guy to photograph! Oh, I was so lucky this little guy was my super hero. We really had alot of fun. And after this session it came to light that making the decisions  to do more outside and life style sessions was going to fit right in with my studio work :)

This next set is when my sister came to stay with us in early March. She took the first photo of my son and I for my website, and I took one of her and her godson relaxing looking up at the clouds!

I really wanted to make 2011 be the year I really got into Boudoir. My sissy was nice enough to be my model! How fun are these? She rocked the session, and so did I. After this I knew I had to do Boudoir, also!

Next is sweet little C. I photographed her when she was just about 24 days old (give or take), so I was happy when mom called and booked her 1 yr old birthday with me! She was so fun and loved the outside surroundings!

Oh little Jack….he lives out of state but I did his newborn images at just 3 days old. I was thrilled when Mom called and said they would be coming to FL for a week and wanted me to do his 4 month images! We went to my fave spot (as you can see in the last group of images I used this space alot). He didn’t want to smile much for me, but we had so much fun!

Next up is a repeating client and dear friends. E&G are so much fun and LOVE the camera. We had SO much fun with this session. They had me laughing the whole time!

Little G!!! I have been photographing her since she was 9 days old! Photographing her has given me a chance to watch her grow up and every session brings something new! This session she had just started to talk alot and it was nice to see!

This next project I took on was photographing kids at Noah’s Playhouse Birthday Bash. I set up and parents came over and for no cost had their little one photographed. They then ordered what they wanted. It was alot of fun, and I really love this place. Miss Lilly is so great and so is her family. She always understood my child just by watching him play. Please check them out.

Now this next bunch… I started really wanting to get ok with shooting Boudoir in an inside setting with natural light. I booked a hotel room down in Ybor City and put out a special for $150. I had 7 girls. We had so much fun. I can’ tell you how awesome it was seeing women telling each other “hey, you look great” and so on. The girl power going around that room was amazing!!! They all felt so great in front of the camera and loved what the outcome was. Here are 3 of the ladies!

For Mothers day I had a Facebook tag it contest. People tagged an image and I picked 3 moms for a session! One mom I knew from when I attended Attleboro High School (in MA), one mom I knew from photographing them before and the next was someone I had not photographed yet! All 3 sessions were alot of fun!

Next up one of my biggest repeating clients :) I photographed the little one when he was still in mom’s belly! Its been a good time with them and I cried a little this past holiday when I couldn’t get to FL to photograph them for Christmas :( We did this fun session at an orange grove. SO SO SO much fun… Oh and by the way, this family…. they helped me be who I am as a photographer, always pulling me out of my comfort zone!!

This next session was neat. These 2 ladies are best friends! One now lives out East. Both were due with boys. This first mom bought the session for the both of them to do together! Nice huh. I had a blast!

This next one was bought as a gift for mom and baby! He was so little. He was only 4 days home. Right out of the hospital :)

And here is little C at 3 months old!!! (the little guy in mommy’s belly and in his room at the beginning of this post!) He has the best looks ever! We did some at his house, and then a week later we went to my spot for some family ones. Mom said she was very happy she did the outside ones. At first she wasn’t sure she wanted to but loves them.. I do, too!

Here is little T! We did these at 7am! I love the morning light. In the last image you will see how the sun is coming up and made the image all nice and warm! Loved this little guy! So much fun!!!

This next session is sweet little L! She really wanted nothing to do with me. So I went beck the next day or so and she slept like a rock for me! She was just so sweet and her sister was just so in love with her!!

This next session I really pushed myself. I shot so much. We met up at the Fort at Ft. Desoto Beach in St. Pete, then made our way over to the North beach. With 3 kids, I have to say it was a very fun and I had alot of fun doing new things!

Oh little Finn…this is the little guy from the Orange Grove. As I said before I have been with them for a long time; since November 2009. I loved watching him grow! I thought this was going to be my last Tampa (FL) session. We shot these over near the Glazer Children’s Museum in downtown Tampa. This session took place at 7:30am! It was a cake smash session! He had a blast!!! Oh I did, too!

Now this session is special. Just 4 or 5 days before I left FL I got a call from this mom. We met a couple or so years ago through an organization, and was there to photograph her baby when she was born. That was an experience I will never forget. I was thinking of her alot before I left but could not for the life of me remember her last name. Well I get her phone call, we cried a little together and then I had to drop the bomb I was leaving. Well, she was expecting again. I was SO happy for them but sad I had no time to do maternity for them. Well, I have the best hubby. He let me leave the house when we were packing and cleaning (we were leaving the very next day to drive to MA) and we met up and had an amazing session! It took me some time to edit these. Not going to lie…it was hard to know this was my last session there. Very sad for me. I love all my clients in FL.

Well now I am back home in Mass and it feels so good! I didn’t pick up my camera for awhile…I missed it but was just so busy and a bit sad. But 4th of July I was at my dad’s house and my sister’s friends came to the party. I asked them if we could do some photos. I thought they matched so cute. This couple is so in love and it shows through the photos! Thank you K&J for doing these for me!

Next is my second session in MA. B and her boyfriend. We met up at my dad’s house and them went to another fun area.

Next is little T. This was his 3rd birthday! We had so much fun. It was my first time shooting over at WWI memorial park and we had a blast! He is such a sweet, sweet boy! (In the b&w image he was saying goodbye to his balloons.)

Next is my sister and K again with their friend J! They have been best friends for over 5 years and been through so much together! They hired me to do a best friend shoot. I was nervous to do it, but man we had a blast! They are all great in front of the lens!

This next mom won a contest I was holding when I moved here. We did this session at Nobska Point Light in Woods Hole, Cape Code, MA. We had so much fun. And I have to say it is a breath of fresh air when daddy is so into the session, too!!! *I would like to say thank you to the dad for taking Matt and myself up into the lighthouse. It was a great time!

Oh this session was great. I have known this mom for over 12 years. When I was in high school I did alot of TYT plays, and Jenn was in alot of them! I loved that we haven’t seen each other in years and she trusted me with this session! That and my son fell in love with her :)

As a child I loved going to Tugas Family Farm. That’s where this next session took place on September 11th! We had alot of fun! This girl could pose like no other!

This next little guy is a part of my family. Its my cousin’s son, Stephen! I love this little dude! He is very quiet and them bam he sneak attacks you with a smile and a hug! We did this session down at my dad’s. We did his mommy’s maternity photos in the same spot :) These are his 1st birthday photos!!

Again here is my family (well some of us). My mom still lives in Tampa (big sad face) so when she was up in October we did a session with her, my son, my older brother, my cousin, her son, and well me! This first photo is of me, my mom and my son, Paxton/ and my mom and my son. Next is my cousin and her son/and our little dudes!!!

Oh this next little fella did NOT want to sleep for me at all. Man oh man I got the baby bug after snuggling him all night :)

I love when I show up for a session and everyone in the session treats me like family! It’s the best feeling ever. A day or so before Christmas I saw mom at Target and got the best hug! I’m telling you I walk away part of your family :)

Oh and here is Miss Cassidy; she is the daughter of my friend I used to act with (maternity photos above in purple dress).

This little one came in for a mini session! She is so pretty and such a peanut!!!

Ok, ok, ok! I really went back and forth about adding my family to this list…but I am and here is my son! We had a blast doing this. He was a Rock and Roll zombie (I said yes to zombie if there was no blood)! Silly boy. He really got into this. That and I took over 100 to get the perfect ones of him!!!

Next is little G again. Last time I photographed her was Easter (above in green shirt). She warmed right up to me for not seeing me in a long time. That and she blew me away with her words and her silly, sweet nature that is G!!!!

And here is little Ellie!!! Mom and dad were the ones who won their maternity session we did in Woods Hole! I must say again it’s awesome when dad joins in and has tons of ideas! That and shows us all the art in their home! Their art was amazing!

HAHAHAHAHAH…this couple is the best…ever! They had me laughing THE WHOLE TIME. We did this session at Blue Hills and leave it up to me to be wearing flats to climb the hill. Yeah… HAHAHA, but it was worth it!!!

I also helped out with my dad’s church for their Holiday fair. I really like everyone at Murray Church. Great people!

I also photographed at the daycare I work mornings at. All 3 locations! So much fun!

It was nice to photograph Jess again. This time with her brother for their parents for Christmas! Again I love when I can just have fun and have my clients leave wicked happy!!

And my last session of 2011!!! Amy is due any day with her little boy! We had a mini session at WWI memorial park! She was a natural in front of the camera! Can not wait to meet her little man as soon as he arrives!

If you made it this far… THANK YOU!!! I can not wait to see what 2012 has in store for us! We hope a new studio (seeing the landlord left with our money with the last store front). I also have some babies coming into the family, and lots of friends having little ones. I can not wait to see where Boston takes me. With that said I have a list of places I really, really want to photograph. If you book a session with me for one of these places I will give you 20% off the session fee and 2 free mini wallet books!

Christmas in Boston!!! {Family photographer Boston/New England}

October 22, 2011

I love my clients… A lot! I was so sad when I moved away from the great clients in FL. Well a couple months ago I got the best news. That a family I have been photographing since the little one was 9 days old, is now up here!!!!  I love watching her grow up. Her little voice is just the best, and she is so smart! At the end she ran from her spot and said “Im going to sit next to this lady!” that made my day!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for always trusting me with her precious moments!!! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I can’t wait for our next session!
